What’s New at Ham Radio Science

DVB-T SDR

I have recently updated the forum software here at Ham Radio Science. You should be able to login in to the forum with your old user name and ID. If you can’t, try requesting a password reset. If that doesn’t work for you leave a comment and I will look into it.

I have been experimenting with the so called “$20 SDR Radio” or what I prefer to call the “Poor Mans Funcube Dongle”. This is basically a digital tv tuner usb stick that has modified via software to act as a VHF/UHF SDR radio. I hope to get a full article out soon on this interesting device

Raspberry Pi

After after about 3 months, the Raspberry Pi computer finally showed up at my doorstep. I have not had time to check it out, but hope to do so soon. It will be interesting to see what ham applications turn up for this tiny low cost computer. I will be posting an article on this device also, so stay tuned.

Finally, I have added a Realtek RTL2832U topic to the forum and a Raspberry Pi topic.

Follow us on Facebook if you are interesting in reading these articles when they come out!
